Silence on a Morning Lake
This series of original artworks was inspired by my kayaking trips on Lake Davignon near my home in Cowansville.
Precious moments with my dog on the water. Time often slips through our fingers like the movement of a kayak on water. During my kayaking trips, sometimes I am propelled quickly but gently forward. The water is calm as a mirror. Sometimes the waves make it more difficult and less pleasant. But in both cases, I experience the present moment and learn to take my time and contemplate the environment.
These paintings are inspired by the silence of nature. Today silence is a rare and if one wants to appreciate it, what better than to look with the eyes. This is when time seems to stand still while we take the time to observe and admire nature.
